Behind the Lens: Shooting IMS Ibiza at Hard Rock and Hyde

The electronic music industry’s annual heartbeat just wrapped up, and I had the incredible privilege of capturing the action on the ground. This year, my camera took me across two completely contrasting, stunning settings for the International Music Summit (IMS): Hard Rock Hotel and Hyde Ibiza.

As an event and music photographer, balancing the corporate-meets-creative energy of IMS across different venues is the ultimate playground. Here is a look at what went down through my lens.

Venue 1: The High-Energy Panels at Hard Rock Hotel

Hard Rock has long been an iconic pillar of the IMS landscape, known for hosting heavy-hitting industry panels, tech masterclasses, and massive indoor-outdoor networking spaces.

• The Vibe: Sleek, professional, and buzzing with energy. The lighting here requires balancing the bright, natural Mediterranean sun with high-contrast indoor stage setups.
• What I Captured: Keynote speakers, tech showcases, live brand activations, and the sharp, candid interactions of global delegates, label heads, and artists talking shop.

Venue 2: The Poolside Disconnect at Hyde Ibiza

Located in the stunning, pine-framed bay of Cala Llonga, Hyde Ibiza (alongside its twin complex Mondrian) represents the fresh, bohemian-luxury era of the summit.

• The Vibe: Relit, open-air, and deeply immersive. The aesthetic here transitions seamlessly from daytime wellness discussions to sunset poolside mixers.
• What I Captured: High-end lifestyle shots, dynamic outdoor networking mixers, the “Art of Areté” wellness sessions, and open-air DJ performances set against dramatic coastal backdrops.
